Synopsis
Jointly commissioned by First Great Western and the Dartington International Summer School, this fanfare for early brass instruments (including sackbuts and cornets) was written for the ceremonial naming of a new train between London and Totnes in Devon. It has traditional opening gestures that become increasingly funky as the piece progresses.
